Although this is not a typical wedding or engagement shoot, I would like to share these images with you! As shooting weddings are seasonal jobs, this is what I have been up to recently. I love shooting fashion editorials because I get to push myself to think creatively and to experiment with lighting. In my wedding portfolio, I tend to use back light a lot to achieve bright and airy photos. When meeting up with my bride to be, she mentioned that she loves my darker/more contrasty editing. It got me thinking that showing more versatility on my blog can be useful to future brides as well. One of my goals this wedding season will be to push myself from the usual “pretty” composition and lighting and to really go beyond the aesthetics of the image to capturing real and raw emotions itself.
